Senior Finance Manager

Job Overview
- Manage and oversee accounting functions – accounts payable, accounts receivable, electronic banking, monthly reconciliations, close month-end books
- Manage and monitor organization cash flow and financial forecasting
- Preparation and management of annual audit and 990 tax filing
- Manage finance team members and support their professional development
- Report to and support CFO in developing new financial management, monitoring, and forecasting systems to maximize efficiency
- Oversee payroll functions
- Prepare budgets for major grant applications
- Manage major grant budgets with Program leads
- Oversee financial reports and invoices
- Implement relevant policy and business practice development to ensure that the day-to-day financial, accounting and internal controls practices, cash procedures, investment policies, and expenditures and revenues are controlled and maintained within approved financial and compliance limits
- Provide guidance and mentoring to team members on financial systems and financial literacy
Must Haves:
- Degree in finance or accounting or related field, or equivalent experience, CPA designation a plus
- Minimum of 3 years accounting and financial systems experience
- Strong understanding of day-to-day accounting processes, general ledger work, and detailed budget processes
- Proficiency in grant financial management tracking
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of nonprofit compliance, accounting standards and regulations, and Uniform Guidance requirements, cost principles and audit requirements for federal awards. Required to have an interest to learn and excel in this area!
- Experience with Quickbooks. Required to have used and be willing to learn Quickbooks
- Experience with Google Workspace with expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
- Experience implementing budgets to departments and tracking of expenses. Required to have a willingness to learn and be proficient in this area
- Experience managing cash and payment processing
- Experience with change management
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $65,000-$80,000 USD. Actual salary will vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, salary of internal peers, and location.
